I work with these kids and I would stop being a Christian if God's reasoning for anything included deliberately killing someone. God is loving, not a murderer. God loved him, and still loves him, and Montre is with him. But that's all there is. Certainly something good could come from this thing, because God can help us do that, but I don't think he plucked him out of life to be with him. But, that's just my two cents. Saying "God took him" is just what people say to make it easier for them to realize that things happen that we don't like. We can't blame anything in life on God, only other people. But now I'm getting off topic, sorry. Anyway, it's a familiar subject for me. I've had kids who are terminal before, worked with kids who are hooked up to stuff. I'm grateful that I take the time to make an effort to do my best with them because I always learn something valuable.

I'm glad you got to spend time with him. It's good for everyone involved. It gives perspective. Not the annoying "Gosh I'm glad I'm healthy and not like him" but the kind that says "oh hey Christ is present in this person too let's see what everyone involved can learn".

And hey, you missionaried right by the high school I'll be teaching in next semester. I go down Raymond, through Garfied Park, and then the school is on Madison. I definitely need to see if I can work out running into those guys after school some day.

I spend time thinking about life on other planets. And how that would work into what life is really like. It's not a stretch for an evolutionist, but it would certainly change my view a bit on religion, make it a bit more global, if sometgihng was happening elsewhere. Who knows, maybe they're still perfect there.

I don't want to sound mean. It just hit a nerve. I'm so glad you got to do all these things. All of them sound beneficial and useful.Buddhist, RNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09777947611604831806noreply@blogger.com
