I'm sure others were praying that couldn't show up for the public observance.<br /><br />certainly we should pray for the poor ... of course I too often forget.<br /><br />I was in Louisville this past weekend. as our 4-some walked through the downtown tourist area to find an eatery we were set-upon at least 6 times by "homeless" beggars ... all asking for spare change, or a dollar, or even just a quarter. we offered to buy them something to eat - they turned us down. they are in my prayers especially as their problems seem to be deeper than hunger for food.<br /><br />but as I toured the Garland neighborhood of west Louisville and I saw the poor hanging out on the street corners and on porches and walking around. i will try to remember more frequently to pray for them, too.<br /><br />thanks for the reminder.uncle jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01879341171634900790noreply@blogger.com
